Dvořák Remastered AD 170 (open call for remixes and contest)
On the occasion of the 170th anniversary of the birth of the Czech composer Antonín Dvořák, the Czech Centre proposed a new project for the month of December. Creativity, contest and party. Over 30 Romanian musicians responded to an open call announced by the Czech Centre in December 2011, to remix any of the composer’s work – in any genre, any style. The remixes, which soon became popular online, were launched also as a double CD divided into “Rhytm” side and “Sound” side, on a Romanian independent music label.
